Trapping kit to attract male oak processionary moths (Thaumetopea processionea).

Trapping using a pheromone trap and a pheromone.

The micro-encapsulation allows a more homogeneous effectiveness on all the diffusion .

This pheromone is biodegradable and safe for humans and the environment.

A pheromone provides 90 days of protection (3 months). One pheromone is enough for the season.

Manual

The pheromone capsule must be used with the Funnel Trap.

Fill the trap with 0.5 l of water and two drops of oil, non-odorous washing-up liquid or non-odorous black soap to prevent the water from evaporating and make it easier for the butterflies to drown.

Place the pheromone basket on the green lid and empty the contents of the syringe into the bottom of the green pheromone basket then close the pheromone basket with its closing lid.

Place the trap on the first low branches of the tree.

The trap must be cleared so that the butterflies can circle around it.

Moths attracted by the female sex pheromone enter the trap and fall into the soapy water.

Visually check if there is water left in the bucket, otherwise add some without touching the pheromone.

Mode of action: The male butterflies attracted by the female sex pheromone, tired of not finding the female, he by fall into the trap and are captured.
